Don’t worry, you don’t have to be (or look like) an ogre to stay in Shrek‘s Swamp. Airbnb announced Tuesday morning that they will be offering a weekend stay at the fantastical home from the DreamWorks franchise.
Booking opens on October 13 at 6 p.m. local time for a one or two-night stay for up to three guests October 27-29.
Nestled deep within the forests of the Scottish Highlands and accented with the cozy comforts Shrek has accumulated over the years, the swamp offers a secluded retreat. This mud-laden, moss-covered, murky-watered oasis is a snug escape from the outside world and a perfect way to embrace the beauty of nature.

During the stay, guests are invited to relax in the ambiance of “earwax candlelight”, kick their feet up with a parfait, swap stories around the fire until late in the night, enjoy a stack of freshly made waffles in the morning and enjoy the ultimate privacy of Shrek’s trusted outhouse.

Shrek’s loveable sidekick Donkey is the voice behind the official Airbnb listing: “I’m swamp-sitting while Shrek’s away this Halloween, and I’m absolutely delighted to invite you in for a fairytale stay,” the description reads. “Oh, and never mind the ‘BEWARE’ signs. They’re probably for decoration.”
Shrek’s Swamp is one of many entertainment-inspired listings posted by Airbnb over the past few months. In addition to a slew of celebrities that have listed their homes (such as Gwenyth Paltrow, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher), they’ve also posted dozens of listings inspired by buzzy shows and films, such as Barbie’s Malibu Dreamhouse and Ted Lasso’s favorite pub.
