BAR HARBOR, Maine — Atlantic storm Lee made landfall at near-hurricane strength Saturday, bringing destructive winds, rough surf and torrential rains to New England and Maritime Canada. But officials withdrew some warnings for the region and predicted the storm would disappear early this week. The U.S. National Hurricane Center said early Sunday that the post-tropical cyclone was about 35 miles (55 kilometers) west of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and about 225 miles (360 kilometers) west of Channel-Port Aux Basques, Newfoundland.

The test began Thursday in Bakersfield, Calif., and the pastries are available in packs of two for $1.00, four for $1.69 or 12 for $4.49. May 28, 2015 12:13 PM EDT The National Weather Service issued a new flash flood warning Thursday morning for large parts of Texas, as the state reels from extreme flooding that has already killed 17 people. The new flood warning covers southern and central Texas from around San Antonio to Dallas and remains in effect until Friday morning. “This area is already saturated from recent rounds of heavy rain and will be susceptible to flash flooding… even with just short periods of rain,” the warning said.

The bartender at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Raymond James Stadium was reportedly caught serving flavored water as alcohol, local NBC affiliate WFLA reports. A conversation recorded by a man named Troy Sykes purportedly exposed the offending bartenders with pouring water from a decorative bottle of booze after Sykes ordered tequila. “That whole thing is full of water,” Sykes is heard saying on the recording.
