Former Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the first female head of state on the African continent, thinks women “absolutely” make better leaders.
“If we had more women in power, we would see faster dialogue and action,” she said during the inaugural TIME100 Africa Summit in Rwanda’s capital Kigali on Friday.

Biography: Frida Kahlo began painting in 1925 while recovering from a serious traffic accident. Her work revolved around her own identity, and in particular the physical pain she suffered after her accident and her tempestuous relationship with fellow Mexican artist Diego Rivera. Frida met Diego Rivera through the Mexican Communist Party, which they were both members of. They married in 1929.
